Dr. Renjith P. Johnson
After obtaining MSc degree in Chemistry from Bharathidasan University, Renjith received his Ph.D in polymer science and engineering from Pusan National University, Republic of Korea under the guidance of Professor Il Kim with thesis titled "Biocompatible stimuli-responsive synthetic polymer-block-polypeptide hybrid materials for the intracellular delivery of gene and anticancer agents"-(2009-2014). Dr. Renjith did his postdoctoral researches in Pusan National University and University of South Carolina, United states prior to joining as Assistant Professor at Yenepoya Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangalore.

Ms. Supriya Jain (SRF)
Supriya Jain received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry, botany and zoology from Alva’s College, Moodbidri (Mangalore University) and Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from St. Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangalore. During Master’s, she had completed the project work "Synthesis of micronutrients and their analysis" from BASF, Surathkal. She had participated in an International conference on ‘Green chemistry and Nanotechnology, opportunities and Challenges’ at St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), in 2017.
At PNRL, Yenepoya Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), she joined in Dec 2018, and involved in the development of conducting polymer based materials for sensing and tissue engineering applications.


Mr. Sandesh G.S (SRF)
Sandesh received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry, botany, and biotechnology from SDM college Ujire (Mangalore University) and Master’s degree in chemistry from St. Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangalore. During his Master's, he had completed a project work titled “Beer processing and analysis” from United Breweries Limited, Baikampady Mangalore. He had participated in an international conference on “Green chemistry and Nanotechnology- opportunities and challenges” at St. Aloysius College and in other National Seminars. He also had worked as a faculty for JEE, NEET, CET coaching, and other competitive exams in various institutes.

At PNRL, Yenepoya Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), he joined in Aug 2020, and involved in the development of novel stimuli-responsive polymer gels for wound healing and skin tissue engineering applications.


Ms. Dhanya M (SRF)
Dhanya received her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangalore. During her Masters, she had completed a project on “Synthesis and Analysis of Micronutrients”, in the department of Quality Assurance at BASF India Ltd, Surathkal, Karnataka. She had participated in an International Conference on “Green Chemistry and Nanotechnology, opportunities and Challenges” at St Aloysius College (Autonomous). From January 2019 to October 2021, she had worked as a quality control executive in the Small molecule API division of Biocon Limited.

At PNRL, Yenepoya Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), she joined in Oct 2021, and involved in the development of bioresponsive polymeric nanoformulations for lung targeted drug delivery applications.


Mr. Muhammed Abul Anser (JRF)
Mohamed Abul Anser completed his Master’s degree in Chemistry from B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. During his Master’s, He carried out my project titled “Green Synthesis of TiOâ‚‚ Nanoparticles Using Couroupita guianensis Bark Extract,” focusing on eco-friendly synthesis and characterization of metal oxide nanoparticles.

In October 2025, he joined as a Research Assistant at Yenepoya Research Centre. In January 2026, He joined PNRL, Yenepoya Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). At PNRL, He is focusing on the development of functional hydrogels for corneal tissue engineering applications.
